Ruta del Vino

Mexicans in my opinion should be very proud of what they have in their country as a culture like this  and ''Ruta del vino''  is one of the best examples that has a lot to show up

This is the location for Ruta del vino, the north of  Mexico, Baja California.

About Valle de Guadalupe

Baja’s Valle de Guadalupe, or Guadalupe Valley, produces 90% of all of the wine that comes from Mexico. Although the valley has been producing wine for nearly 100 years, just in the last decade has the region experienced the incredible growth that has turned it into an up-and-comer on the global scene. It’s now become an epicenter of northern Baja for boutique wineries, gourmet restaurants and chic hotels, garnering the attention of publications such as the Wall Street JournalCondé Nast Traveler and the LA Times.

Things to do in Valle de Guadalupe Checklist:

 -Visit Rancho Cortes, a working dairy and meat ranch where you can the cheese making process in action. Don’t miss their cheese tasting platter for $3 that comes along with a sample of their famous olive oil.
-Stop by La Escuelita where oenologists go to study the art of winemaking. There’s a small outdoor café where you can enjoy a bite to eat and a glass of wine. All of the buildings at the school are constructed of different and unique materials such as bottles, straw, wood planks or corrugated metal.
-Check out some of the nearly 100 wineries in the region. Large, boutique and everything in between.
-Don’t miss the new museum in the valley – the Museo de la Vid y el Vino. For just $4 you can learn all about the winemaking process and the history of the Valle de Guadalupe. If you don’t speak Spanish, they’ll give you an English-speaking guide to personally take you through the museum.
-Check out some of the gourmet restaurants in the Valle de Guadalupe such as La Esperanza, Laja, or Corazon de la Tierra where you’ll be treated to seasonal, multi-course meals paired with wine.
-Have breakfast at La Cocina de Doña Esthela, a local hole-in-the-wall eatery recently named “Best Breakfast in the World” by FoodieHub.
-Take a behind-the-scenes wine tour at wineries like Monte Xanic, Las Nubes or L.A. Cetto.
-In the summertime, eat at one of the outdoor seasonalcampestre restaurants such as Finca Altozano, or Deckman’s el en Mogor where you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the valley as you eat farm to table meals and sip on wine.
-Stay at one of the valley’s bed and breakfasts orboutique hotels for a full Valle de Guadalupe experience.

I wantched this video and I'm sharing it with you because It shows a real tour in Ruta del Vino go and visit it, you can not miss a great experience like this.

What I Learned this Week

All over the week I think that we learned more things than the last week so I'm  glad that I can take this course and also know what are we talking about, like yesterday I didn't know what was flashpacking and now I can tell what it is.
We were doing some reading comprehension about hospitality topics that helps us understand the business  where we are working with.
I can't left behind all the new vocabulary that we've learned even the dictionary reading or searching, now we know how to use a dictionary and also that we must never take a noun as a verb because they are super different. During the week we learned how to pronounce some word because of its stress or apostrophe.
One and very important word that I better never forget, it's lecture because we did one and the teacher explained it to the class and we did one and passed in front to practice it.
That's what I recall from my week and I hope that I can learn more the next week.

My song of the week.

A Week in Ms.Julia's Class

What I've learned Monday thru Friday it's the definition of tourism and it's aspects, I'm able to easily create a definition for tourism whenever you ask me: what is tourism?.

I also get into the researching of hospitality with a great presentation that I could see what the word means and also a little bit of history between tourism and hospitality.

I add vocabulary to my lexicon words as:

* Check in
* Promotion
* Package
* Book
* Armchair

And I noticed that all that new words mean something different depending on what the situation is going through.

I also got something new that I've never seen before in my past English classes
Prefixes and suffixes

Traveling

Isla Holbox

Isla Holbox Mexico In Yucatán, an ecotourism gem emerges. The brief ferry ride to Isla Holbox, a 26-mile-long sliver of mostly mangrove and beach in the vast Yum Balam biosphere reserve, is only about a two-and-a half-hour drive northwest of Cancún thanks to a new route that opened last summer. The car-free island is a tranquil, unpretentious hideaway for visitors to the Yucatán, a place to swim with gentle whale sharks, to kiteboard above its crystalline waters, and to enjoy some culture at the annual International Public Art Festival, when artists indeed paint the town. In early 2016, LeBazaar, a new art gallery/cafe/boutique with rooms for several artists-in-residence will open next to one of the island’s original eco-friendly beachfront boutique hotels, the stylish Casa las Tortugas.

One of my goals is going to different places instead of staying in one place, first of all, I would like to travel all around Mexico and be able to say that I know my country, in that way I can share my culture to the whole world and if I want to start traveling Isla Holbox is one of my most wanted to go ones because for me it´s super beautiful in all the pictures that I´ve seen and obviously the good service that they are ofering in that island, their tourism area, hospitality area and gastronomic area all of what I mentioned just because I like to learn and my career involves all that areas .

The Reason I'm here

I will like you to know that it is my first post and as you can see in posts we share what's happening with our lives, right now, in this precise moment I am in a classroom with a lot of students, because I am one of them too and the reason why I am here writing just begun with a question: ''What should I study?''. this came to me because I was wondering a lot of questions of what my future could be and what should I have to do with that.
When I was in High School I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life and all of the asking part that I've just mentioned was being ignored by the old me, the only thing that I knew  in that time was that I wanted to keep studying because I've always had this way of thinking about studying:
Studying = Growing up
Studying = More Jobs, Better Jobs
Studying = Acquire Skills
Studying = Set yourself up
Studying = Open up new worlds
Studying = Better life
And I could keep going with a lot of things that studying means to me but I'll go straight to the point, I chose a degree international in administration of hospitality, gastronomy and tourism GLION Institute of higher education as my career in the university UVM because I was not fully fill by any other career, I was looking for something that I like and at the same time a can have a job when I graduate from it, I remember in that time when I was sixteen years old and my best friend was looking for his university and what he wanted to study, he came to his house and I went there to see him, he had a lot of brochures and I read them with him and any of them were interesting to me but one, if didn't guess I'll tell you then, GLION, I read about it in that brochure with a lot of excitement and joy I was reading what I wanted, I ran to my house immediately and told my family, they were happy and sad because all of them wanted me to study something like medicine or teaching.
I had to talk them down because nobody knew about the career and where I can work, I had to look for more information because they won't listen to me at least I had a great argument.
Well I surfed in the internet and I show them that I really wanted to study, just what I'm studying now even though we suffer because of the month payment in comparison of other careers it's very expensive, they are being very supportive, and I'm very grateful about it that's why I must not give up, I have to make them proud because they are not that sure if I can succeed, I'm working on it and prove them and myself that I can do it, I assure you it will be awesome when I finally reach my goal.
My plan it's to continue and never stop looking for new knowledge, I would like to invite you and do the same.
